Listed below are some ways that you can volunteer, along with brief job descriptions and an approximation of the amount of time required.


PLEASE take a few minutes to look over this list, find where your knowledge or interests are and volunteer. We also offer discounts in your club fee for those who volunteer for any of the positions listed below.

20TH ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE

We need several volunteers to help organize our 20th anniversary picinic which will be held August 29, 2009. We need people to help coordinate decorations, food, raffles, and other miscelaneous projects. These people will work directly with several members of the board. Please contact Matt Deleon to volunteer.

UNIFORM COORDINATOR

*Place order with vendor for uniforms when necessary. Pick up orders from vendor when ready and distribute to appropriate team manager.

*Ensure that all pieces of the uniform kit are correct.

*Maintain a list of numbers for players on each team to avoid duplicate numbers.

*Be the coordinator of club apparel. Order, sell, and maintain inventory of all items.

Approximate time: 25 hours annually

This person reports to the Operations Chairperson.

FIELD COORDINATOR:

*Coordinate field use for all fields currently being used by Skomor Teams with host location of field. Make sure that the leagues are aware of dates that fields are unavailable for club use.

*Keep track of all game schedules (boys and girls) and coordinate any game changes with IWSL / YSSL coordinators and team managers.

*Secure indoor practice space for all teams.

*Ensure that all permits and necessary paperwork are in place. Coordinate with club treasurer on insurance certificates.

Approximate time: 20-25 hours annually
Reports to the Operations Chairperson.

FUNDRAISER COORDINATOR:

*Contact local businesses with respect to their sponsoring the Skomor Soccer Club. There are various levels of sponsorship available.

*Create and coordinate various fundraising events.

*Coordinate with team managers and collect proceeds from various fundraising events and turn over funds to the Treasurer.

Approximate time: 30-50 hours annually
Reports to the Operations Chairperson and works with the treasurer and team managers.
